This work is intended as an etude but is well suited to performance. (<a href=\"https:\/\/isgpublications.com\/Neher-DoubleStopStudy2.mp3\">Hear Patrick Neher performing<\/a>) It is approx. 06:00 minutes in length, and utilizes the entire range of the double bass. It is an expressive work with lots of challenge, on par with college and professional players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This composition is an elegy, dedicated to continuing the memory of the charismatic, compassionate and talented bassists, Robert Black and David Neubert. These lovely humans were taken from the bass world all too soon.
